How to Make a Product Active or Inactive
Products in Nourysh can have three statuses: inactive, active, or scheduled.
An inactive product is one that is set-up in your shop admin, but is not available on your website to be purchased and cannot be seen by customers. Perhaps it's a seasonal product that isn't available all year. Or one you are creating, but isn't ready for launch—this basically saves it as a "draft" until you make it active.
An active product is one that is set-up in your shop admin, but is available to your customers to purchase on your website.
A scheduled product is one that will be available on your Nourysh site within a specific date and time range that you set. This is particularly helpful when you are planning to launch a pre-sale, or to have products expire at a set date and time to help you plan and manage your inventory or upcoming event. With scheduling products, you can easily add products to your store at a time that is convenient for you, knowing that they'll be live and active in your shop on the desired date. You also won't have to panic and try to remember to mark a product as "inactive" when a pre-sale is over— the product will automatically become inactive (removed from your shop) at the date you set!
To manage your products and product types, login to Nourysh and go to "Products" on the left-hand side of your admin navigation panel.
Click on any product to manage its status. Or, begin by creating a new product.
Go to "Availability" on the right-hand side and select the drop-down box under "Status". This is where you can mark a product as "Active", "Inactive", or "Scheduled".
To schedule your product, select "Scheduled". Next, use the date-selector to choose a Start Date, Start Time, End Date, and End Time.
If today's date is within your selected date range, the "Visibility" will show as "Visible" and your product will be available on your website for purchase.
If your product's start date is in the future, or if your product's expiration date is in the past, your product's Visibility will show as "Not Visible."
If you ever need to manually disrupt a product's schedule and quickly remove it from your shop, you can easily do so by simply switching the product's Status to "Inactive" manually.
Lastly, you can always preview a products' status under your "products" tab. This tab will show you what products are active, inactive, or scheduled.
